Upcoming community gatherings, meetings, and recreational activities at The Woods at Duck Harbor and in the surrounding Equinunk, Pennsylvania and Wayne County area.
The calendar collects events that matter to people who own, rent, or visit property at The Woods at Duck Harbor and the surrounding Equinunk area. That includes neighbor get-togethers, work parties, fire department fundraisers, township meetings, fishing derbies on Duck Harbor Pond, and seasonal happenings across Wayne and Pike counties.
The seasonal rhythm
- Spring (April through May): Pennsylvania trout season opens and the pond is stocked. Township road crews finish spring grading. Volunteer cleanup days happen on common land and at the community shoreline access points.
- Summer (June through August): Peak gathering season. Cookouts, weekend hikes, fishing derbies, and Fourth of July observances around Equinunk and along the Delaware River.
- Fall (September through November): Hunting season approaches. Annual fire company fundraisers, harvest dinners, and Equinunk Historical Society events take place. Wayne County fairs and craft markets wind up the season.
- Winter (December through March): Quieter season focused on indoor neighbor visits, ice fishing on the pond when conditions allow, and Wayne County township meetings that shape local rules for the year ahead.
